Day 107

Logan stayed home from school today. He was really fine, just really tired. He's had practice or a game nearly every night for a couple of weeks now. He loves it, but I think it just caught up with him. He never really says he doesn't want to go to school and this morning he did. I played the ole "Well that means you can't just play xbox all day" and he actually said okay. They have fifths disease running rampant in his class. Turns out one of his best friends got the rash yesterday. Well the only time you are contagious with this illness is a week prior to the rash with a low grade fever. so I"m thinking he may be getting the rash next week. good thing I kept him home today. We had a very nice quiet day. he had to to go Wally World with me. He's still kinda bad about asking for toys so I usually don't take him. I just happened to see this car on an end cap and it was only $1.50 so I thought oh well, I'll do it. He's dying to see this movie, Speed Racer. Logan has always been totally obsessed with one character. It started with Jay Jay the Jet Plane, thomas the train, rescue Heroes, spiderman, power rangers, Cars (movie) and lately Star Wars. I can see how this Speed Racer is going to be a new obsession for him. Oh well it's fun seeing him make up things to go with his characters.

While doing a little weeding, I spotted this little guy, oh I really loved the Cars phase. I think I had more fun trying to find all the characters for him.

don't worry he didn't get maimed, He was just a casualty of staining the deck last fall.

I just saw a preview for Speed Racer at 21 last night, looks cute! I love the second shot of him watching his car! I hope he's feeling better quickly and doesn't catch the 5ths Disease.

cute, cute, cute journaling and oh, that little car at the end. It's sorta sad...the end of an era, onto bigger/better things now.

The old Speed Racer cartoon was my brothers' favorite when we were little. Glad you explained that last shot; it looked like a pretty bloody accident. :-)

Love the car shots! My 8yo was like that, into one thing at a time, but my 3yo has the attention span of a knat. Great shots. Hope he doesn't get sick.

Everyone needs a day off sometimes. I don't blame him.
