I guess I'm feeling a little nostalgic being so close to mothers Day. It's always been a hard day for me. Not having a Mom of course, but 12 years ago we found out that we would never have children of our own 2 days before Mother's day. I rejoice because we beat the odds and have 3 great kids. Mother's Day changed from then on. But there is still a small window of sadness that will always surrounds it. Obviously i didn't take these today. But I took a picture of these pictures today, does that count? These two are my favorites of me and my Mom. The first one was taken about 8 months before she died. The next one was at my high school graduation. The last one is of my girls when they were 10 months old. Her grave is in Santa Fe and this was the first time I had taken them.

I've been getting all caught up on your blog and enjoyed seeing all these great photos. That one of Logan running the bases really made me smile. I also love seeing you with your mom. I can definitely see you in her and your DDs in both of you.
Awww... I love the one of your girls "playing" with her stone. I am so sorry you lost her so young. I lost my dad at age 19 and I know it's especially hard on special days.
Nicole, My mom died when I was 21, so I know how hard it can be. The photo of your girls at her grave is very poignant.

These pictures and the post really just made me tear up. I am so sad for you cause it would be so hard for you mom to have never met your children. These are great photos to remember her by and she is looking down on you.
Nicole,
I was so touched by your post today. I am so sorry you have lost your mom. My mom died four years ago. Mother's Day is so hard. I try to be a good mom and enjoy the day with my kids and husband, but I miss my mom so much. I love those shots of you with your mom. I can tell how much she loved you!
Nice photos with you and her. Great miracle with the kids. The girls look so sweet sitting there.
Such a sweet testament to the memory of your mom! I love the first photo, and the expressions on both your faces. Great interaction between the two of you. I'm so glad you got to experience motherhood because it really is such a gift in life! And I hope as the years go by, many more good and wonderful memories can also be attached to mother's day for you.
