day 48

Last night as we were getting ready to leave, there was the most beautiful rainbow. All the kids start hollering 'Grab your camera!" It was a complete rainbow all the way across the sky, The clouds were starting to part and blue skies were peeking through and as I snapped away, the rainbow slowly dissapeared. It was such an awesome experience. Then I couldn't resist playing with a texture. I haven't decided if it works or not.

Beautiful! I just realized that I've never seen a rainbow where I live, isn't that weird? I'm way up high in the mountains where we get tons of snow, so I guess that is why. Btw, I think that last one with the texture is amazing!

Oh my word Nicole...how lucky can you get to photograph something so beautiful in nature! I haven't seen a rainbow like that is years, and you did such a great job photographing it. I love the texture on the last one! It really adds something fun.

Gorgeous rainbow!! Nice capture. Actually, I like the texture--gives it the feel of an old photo postcard.

Very pretty. My kids call for the camera often, too. Don't you love that? The textured one made me think for a minute that you took it from inside a window with the rain dripping down the outside.
Pretty.
