Day 6

Phew, I am so glad that this Christmas break is over. Well not officially, the kids dont' start back until Tuesday. But I feel like tomorrow we can get back into the swing of things. Basketball practice starts and lauren has an orthodontist appointment. anyway, to the picture of the day...

Lauren got to go hunting with Dad for the last weekend of deer season. They didn't see anything much to my relief, although Lauren had a wonderful time. I'm sure she will always treasure her time with Dad. He's such a great Dad and he makes special time with all his kids. So to end the week of hat's off, A picture with hats and I want to say a "Hat's off" to my hubby. He's truly a hero in my books.

My hubby loves to take our girls hunting, too. It really is special time for them together, although (like you) I'm always relieved to see them come home empty-handed!

It is so wonderful that they have this time together. Really like the close up of your daughter. I also agree that the timing is confusing - don't seem to be able to keep up! ;)

Cool pictures! What a great dad that he shares his hobby with his kids, the girls included. BTW - I think we're practically neighbors -I'm a Parker County gal too. :)

That is so great! She looks like a sweet girl, and so great of your husband to do that with her. She will always treasure that I am sure.

First off...I'm so jealous! I begged my dad to take me hunting for 20 years (I'm 27 now, and haven't given up). :)

I really like your blog banner! Did you do that your self?

cheers,
jewels

What a good Daddy that is just an Awwwwwww picture, especially since it doesn't include a dead deer. :)
The color and exposure on your second photo is great! Good job getting her face with that hat on.

I love dads who don't get stuck on traditional gender roles...yay for him for taking his daughter hunting. She looks cute in her camo.

Daddy daughter time is really an awesome thing. Not only does it give you a break but girls really need that. (at least mine do because if I don't get that break I lose my mind) Anyway what great shots.

My DD is 9 and loves to go hunting with my DH. She actually got a full camo outfit for Christmas this year. She's all ready for squirrel hunting now LOL! This is a great shot and I can't wait to get one of these this spring when they head off to the woods together!
